Your time and energy can help Doorstep Healthcare Services grow! Currently, there are two ways to volunteer: by hosting a house party, or by joining our board.
Host a House Party
Help us educate the public about the need for dental access that exists in Minnesota. Get others invigorated to support caring, high-quality and comprehensive oral healthcare services to underserved populations.
Contact us to discuss how we can help you plan a house party. An interesting speaker who we provide, appetizers, and good company make this event a memorable and educational one. You can't turn down education, awareness and maybe even fundraising, all in an atmosphere of conviviality and good food!
Join Our Board
We are looking for potential board members who believe in our mission! The board of a nonprofit organization is critical to the organization's continued success.
We seek individuals with diverse areas of expertise, including:
- Long-term care, elder care, public health
- Advocacy for low-income individuals
- Law: healthcare, nonprofit
- Dentists with an interest in serving special populations
- Fund development / nonprofit experience
- Connections to potential donors
- Other relevant areas
We seek members who will:
- Show dedication to the organization’s mission
- Attend meetings and join committees
- Provide input on planning and the ways services are administered
- Connect with others in the community who may be a resource
- Participate in our brief fundraising training
- Help with fundraising toward the organization’s mission and operating costs
